Ambassador Sarsgyan’s meeting with Congressman Dold

On February 25, H.E. Tigran Sargsyan, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States had a meeting with Robert Dold, U.S. Representative for Illinois's 10th congressional district and the newly appointed Co-Chairman of the Congressional Armenia Caucus.

Ambassador Sargsyan congratulated Congressman Dold on assuming the Co-Chairmanship and wished him all success in his future endeavors.

During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning the agenda of Congressional Armenian Caucus, economic and political relations between Armenia and the United States and perspectives to further develop and enhance them, as well as the role of the Congressional Armenian Caucus in that process. Ambassador Sargsyan highly appreciated the necessity to enlarge and deepen the Armenian-American relations.

Ambassador Sargsyan presented the preparatory works of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The importance of high-level participation from the United States in the events organized in Armenia and the Diaspora was outlined.

In the course of the meeting the parties also touched upon current regional and international issues.
