The Concert of Şahan Arzruni at the Embassy of Armenia

On November 13 the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the United States hosted Armenian pianist and composer Şahan Arzruni's concert. The event was organized under the auspices of Women’s Guild Central Council to support Fund for Armenian Relief’s Vanadzor Old Age Home.

Shahan Arzruni performed compositions by Komitas, Khachaturian and Alan Hovhaness. Every composition performed was preceded by Shahan Arzruni’s explanations, as well as stories based on his personal contacts and recollections. He’ll continue series of concerts in Chicago, Boston, New York, Florida, Philadelfia and Detroit. All proceeds from these concerts will be passed to the Vanadzor Old Age Home in Armenia.
