Armenian Wine Tasting Reception in Washington, D.C.

On May 19 a wine tasting reception was held at the Embassy of Armenia. The Vineyards of Armenia organization brought together eight different Armenian wine producers to introduce Armenian winery to Washingtonians. Armenia-made red, white, rose and sparkling wines were served to the guests. Diplomats, wine retailers, Armenian community members and other guests attended the event. The warm and joyous atmosphere at the reception was reinforced with the performance of Levon Mikaelian's jazz trio.

The wine producers represented at the event were Keush, Highland Cellars (Koor), Old Bridge, Van Ardi, Voskeni, Karas, Trinity, Kataro. Earlier this week Vineyards of Armenia made similar presentations in New York and at the Smithsonian institution in Washington, D.C. Armenian wine producers are making successful efforts to enter the U.S. market and expand the export sales.
