On December 12th Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, paid a courtesy visit to Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, member of the US House Caucus on Armenian Issues.

Ambassador Nersesyan acknowledged Congresswoman Eshoo’s efforts in strengthening Armenia-US relations and pioneering the Armenia-related issues in the U.S. Congress.

Ambassador Nersesyan briefed Congresswoman Eshoo on Prime Minister’s and Government’s reforms and achievements in the areas of democracy and human rights, fight against corruption and protection of the rule of law. He also acknowledged the December 9th snap parliamentary elections in Armenia as yet another demonstration of democratic breakthrough.

Congresswoman Eshoo saluted the successful snap elections and democratic reforms in Armenia. The interlocutors also discussed a number of issues on the Armenian-American agenda and highlighted the role of the Congressional Armenian Caucus in enhancing them.
