Ambassador Nersesyan’s meeting with Congressman Fortenberry

On February 8th Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Varuzhan Nersesyan met with Congressman Jeffrey Fortenberry (R-NE), member of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. The Ambassador thanked the Congressman for supporting a number of Armenian Genocide resolutions and his efforts towards protecting the religious minorities in the Middle East.

Ambassador Nersesyan and Congressman Fortenberry touched upon the democratic processes in Armenia, the reforms implemented by the Armenian Government, as well as a number of issues on the Armenian-American agenda. The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and building a regular dialogue between the two legislatures.
