On June 4th Ambassador Varuzhan Nersesyan met with Samuel D. Brownback, Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom.
Ambassador Nersesyan spoke about the outcomes of the inaugural session of the US-Armenia strategic dialogue, recently convened in Yerevan, as well as the Democracy Partnership initiative between the US Congress and the National Assembly of Armenia, emphasizing that these developments indicate clear progress in bilateral relations.
The interlocutors touched upon the Ministerial Conference on Religious Freedom, which will convene in Washington D.C. on July 16-18, and the steps the Republic of Armenia undertakes towards promoting religious freedom. They also spoke about enhancing cooperation in the area of protecting the Christian minorities of the Middle East.
