On July 13th Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America, had phone conversation with Congressman Gerald Connolly (D – Virginia).
The interlocutors referred to the situation related to coronavirus. The Ambassador presented the measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at overcoming the pandemic. In this regard, Ambassador Nersesyan expressed gratitude to the US Government for the support provided to Armenia.
Parties noted with satisfaction the existing cooperation between the legislative bodies and the importance of their further enhancement.
Varuzhan Nersesyan briefed the Congressman about position of Armenia regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of the Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia starting from the afternoon of July 12.
