On March 9, H.E. Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States, participated in the Armenian Assembly's Virtual Advocacy Week.
Ambassador Nersesyan expressed his gratitude to the Armenian Assembly and the Diaspora, in general, for its productive humanitarian fundraising efforts as well as constant assistance to Armenia and Artsakh. Ambassador emphasized the invaluable support of U.S. Congress members and stressed the need to take necessary measures for the immediate repatriation of the prisoners of war, captured civilians, and other detainees held in Azerbaijan. Ambassador highlighted further development of economic and political cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the USA.
David Babayan, Foreign Minister of Artsakh Republic, Bob Menendez, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee were Guest Speakers of the featured speakers discussion. The panel was moderated by Armenian Assembly President, Carolyn Mugar, Co-chair Anthony Barsamian, and Board of Trustees Member, Annie Simonian Totah.
