On April 23 Ambassador Varuzhan Nersesyan laid a wreath at the tomb of Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the USA. In his remarks, Ambassador Nersesyan highlighted President Wilson’s legacy in the establishment of the system of international organizations and his role in setting the first examples of international protection of human and citizen rights. Ambassador emphasized that he will always remain as an international leader who reached out to those in need and whose vision was fair regarding the need to overcome the aftermath of the Armenian Genocide. In this context Ambassador once again expressed his gratitude to the US Congress members for the adoption of Resolutions on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and mentioned that the recognition is the most influential means to prevent future genocides.
