Meeting between Ambassador Makunts and Congressman Jim Costa

On September 22^nd Lilit Makunts, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia met with Congressman Jim Costa (D–CA).

Ambassador expressed her gratitude for constant support and tireless efforts on bringing Armenian issues to the attention of Congress.

Ambassador presented COVID-19 related situation in Armenia and the measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at overcoming the pandemic. In this regard Congressman expressed his readiness to make steps towards allocating more US assistance to Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the development of Armenian-American relations, in particular, cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
