A reception marking the 34th Anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia was held in Washington, D.C.

On February 24, a Reception marking the 34th Anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia was held in Washington, D.C.

During the event, Armen Tepanyan, Deputy Chief of Mission delivered the message by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan. Remarks were also delivered by Colonel Hrayr Geghamyan, Defense Attaché of Armenia.

On behalf of the United States, remarks were delivered by Keflin Heesch-Eccles, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of War and Paul Schneider, General of the Kansas National Guard.

The reception was attended by defense attachés of embassies accredited in the United States, representatives of the U.S. Department of War and the Joint Staff, as well a the Armenian community representatives.
