On June 19 Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale in Washington D.C.

The interlocutors acknowledged the positive dynamics in Armenia-U.S. partnership and bilateral relations. Both sides emphasized the importance of the Armenia-U.S. Strategic Dialogue initiative, which serves a solid foundation for continuously enhancing and expanding the bilateral agenda and strengthening the political dialogue.

The interlocutors acknowledged the comprehensive democratic reform agenda in Armenia and the mutual willingness to enhance cooperation in this area.

The Armenian Foreign Minister and the Under Secretary of State discussed a number of international and regional issues. In this context Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed on the ongoing cooperation with global and regional partners aimed at strengthening Armenia’s security agenda. Minister Mnatsakanyan also underlined the importance of supporting inclusive regional integration projects aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region.

Upon his interlocutor’s request Minister Mnatsakanyan touched upon the current status of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, Armenia’s unequivocal position and approach on this issue, as well as Armenia’s priorities on the upcoming meeting slated to take place on June 20.
