On April 9th the Embassy of Armenia to the United States joined the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues and Capitol Hill staffers, the Armenian National Committee of America, the Armenian Assembly of America and members of the Armenian-American community for the annual Capitol Hill commemoration of the Armenian Genocide at the Senate Hart Office Building.

On April 9th Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Varuzhan Nersesyan met with Congresswoman Dina Titus (D-NV), member of the House Foreign Relations Committee and the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. Ambassador Nersesyan expressed his gratitude to Congresswoman Titus for her support towards strengthening and deepening Armenia-US partnership. The interlocutors discussed the recent political developments in Armenia, particularly the government’s comprehensive democratic reforms and the progress in this area.

19.02.2019 • Post Classical Ensemble’s Spring 2020 Armenian Festival Gala Concert at the Embassy of Armenia

On February 19th the Embassy of Armenia to the United States hosted a gala concert and dinner celebrating the richness and diversity of Armenian art and music to kick off the Post Classical Ensemble’s Spring 2020 Armenian Festival. Attended by the members of the upcoming festival’s executive committee, festival sponsors and supporters, the evening featured a stunning performance by world-renowned Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan, accompanied by Post Classical Ensemble’s Concertmaster Natanel Draiblate, who enchanted the audience with their renditions of works by Bach, Ligeti, Khudoyan, Kodaly and others.

On February 8th Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Varuzhan Nersesyan met with Congressman Jeffrey Fortenberry (R-NE), member of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. On February 1st the Embassy of Armenia to the United States hosted a reception and conversation with Dr. Tom Catena, laureate of the 2017 Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity and newly-elected Chair of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative. The event was part of a series of discussions and lectures featuring Dr. Catena, organized by the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative throughout the United States. The event was attended by benefactors, representatives of humanitarian organizations, community leaders and civil activists, Armenian and American doctors, scientists and genocide scholars.
