Lecture at the Embassy of Armenia

On February 12, Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Washington in cooperation with the Professionals in European, Eurasian and Russian Studies (PEERS) of George Washington University organized a visit-lecture attended by the staff and students of the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.

In the course of the meeting Mr. Hrachia Tashchian, Deputy Chief of Mission presented in details Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, processes in the region and Armenia’s position in that regard.

Attendees raised numerous questions concerning political and economic relations between Armenia and the United States, Armenia’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union and the perspectives of further development of relations with the European Union, steps aimed at the establishment of peace and stability in the Caucasian region and beyond, particularly, recent developments in the Nagorno Karabakh peace process, the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and other issues.
