“With you Armenia” Concert at the Carnegie Hall

Within the framework of the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide “With you Armenia” concert took place at the Carnegie Hall on May 26, 2015 with participation of renowned pianist Evgeny Kissin and Hover State Chamber Choir, founded by Sona Hovhannisyan.

Hover Choir conducted pieces by Komitas, Tigran Mansurian and other Armenian composers. The world premiere of a choral setting of Psalm 3 by the Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki composed in remembrance of the Genocide took place.

After intermission, Mr. Kissin played four substantive Chopin works.

H.E. Tigran Sargsyan, Ambassador of Armenia, delivered opening remarks at the concert.
