A concert at Kreegar museum under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America

On October 25, a concert by an Armenian-American violinist Hoorig Taline Poochikian, accompanied with Phuc Phan / celloo/ and Nhi Huynh /piano/ was held in Kreegar museum under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America. Famous works by Komitas, Arno Babajanian and other prominent Armenian composers were performed during the concert.
Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America highlighted organization of such concerts, noting that such events are another opportunity to introduce the foreign audience the Armenian rich culture and the works of our prominent cultural figures. In this regard, the Ambassador emphasized the role of cultural diplomacy as one of the most effective tools to promote cooperation among the states and bring them closer to each other.
Ambassador Nersesyan noted the different cultural events organized by the Embassy of Armenia during the year, as well as highlighted “An Armenian Odyssey; The Color of Pomegranates” – a two-week festival of Armenian culture, which will be held next year. The festival comprises of unprecedented series of events with the presentation of Armenian music, history and films. The Festival will be launched in February, 2020 in cooperation with PostClassical Ensemble.
