On July 22nd Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America, held a phone conversation with Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R – Wyoming).
The interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the development of Armenian-American relations, in particular, cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
The Ambassador briefed the Congresswoman about the agenda of democratic reforms undertaken by the Armenian Government, and in this regard emphasized the support provided by the United States.
Varuzhan Nersesyan presented Armenia’s position about the recent developments on the escalation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, including the ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces, followed by targeting of civilian infrastructure and population
