On September 7, the Armenian Embassy hosted an event celebrating the life of the former Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Armenia to the USA, diplomat, linguist, lawyer Armen Kharazian, attended by his family members, relatives, colleagues and friends.

During the event Armen Kharazyan's wife Christine Kharazyan, children Zarine and Ara Kharazyan, Ambassador Lilit Makunts, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Estonian Embassy to the USA Margus Sarglepp, Assistant Director of the Eurasia Center of the Atlantic Council Andrew D'Anieri, Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly of America Bryan Arduni, Associated Dean for Academic Affairs of the George Washington University Law School, Armenian Bar Association representative Aram Gavoor, Board member of Justice Armenia Ara Araz, Chair Elect of the Senior Lawyers Division of the Federal Bar Association Richard Theis delivered their speeches. Mr. Theis also presented the award of the Federal Bar Association, granted posthumously to Armen Kharazyan. A short film dedicated to the memory of Mr. Kharazyan was screened during the event.

In conclusion, pieces by famous composers Khachatur Avetisyan, Edward Baghdasaryan and Johannes Brams were performed by violinist Christine Kharazyan and pianists Levon Mikayelyan and Andrew Kraus.
