Ambassador Markarian met with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives

On March 19, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Tatoul Markarian met with Ed Royce, the newly appointed Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives

Ambassador Markarian congratulated Congressman Royce on assuming the post of the Chairman of the leading Congressional Committee and thanked him for his efforts in advancing the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and ensuring political and economic support to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

During the meeting views were exchanged on Armenia’s foreign policy, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution and regional security issues.

Congressman Royce assured that he will continue to maintain a principled stance on issues related for Armenia and the Armenian people.
