On April 27 Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society organized a concert in Washington D.C. dedicated to the commemoration of the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The concert was held under the auspices of H.E. Tatoul Markarian, Ambassador of Armenian to the United States, and was featuring the well-known singer of Armenian national and spiritual songs, soprano Anna Mayilian, and the Ethno-Vocal Trio.

During the concert, the Trio performed world famous Armenian classical, spiritual and modern masterpieces, as well as songs of contemporary composers.

Afterwards, the Embassy of Armenia to the United States hosted a reception where Ambassador Tatoul Markarian welcomed Anna Mayilian and Ethno-Vocal Trio and emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy. He highlighted the role of Armenian artists and organizations in presentation of the Armenian culture and art both to the Armenian communities and foreign audience.
