Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker

On May 13, Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker.

At the center of the conversation was the issues of regional security and stability. Acting Minister Aivazian presented to his interlocutor in detail the provocative actions carried out by the units of Azerbaijan’s armed forces in the sovereign territory of Armenia and the following situation. Ara Aivazian stressed the inadmissibility of the provocative actions of Azerbaijan against the territorial integrity of Armenia.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia stressed that the tolerance of such encroachments on Armenia's sovereignty by the international community bears the threat of destabilization of the region.
