Deputy Foreign Ministers of Armenia received the U.S. Ambassador

26 jun, 2025

On May 8, Deputy Foreign Ministers Vahe Gevorgyan and Vahan Kostanyan received Kristina Kvien, the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the negotiations between Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Baryamov held on May 1-4, in Washington DC.

The Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs once again reiterated the positions of the Armenian side regarding the key issues related to normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the ongoing blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, in violation of the Trilateral Statement of November 9, 2020, as well as the humanitarian crisis unfolded in Nagorno-Karabakh - the urgent need for all interested partners to take active steps towards ensuring stability in the South Caucasus region was underscored.
