On September 19, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan sent a letter to the President of the United Nations Security Council in which Minister Mirzoyan provided details on the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, pointing out that these actions are continuation of Azerbaijan’s pre-planned policy of ethnic cleansing.

By letters sent to the UN Security Council Armenia and France requested to convene a UN Security Council meeting. The meeting will be held on September 21. Armenia expects that Azerbaijan’s actions will be condemned in the UN SC and emphasizes the importance of effective use of existing UN mechanisms in order to prevent mass atrocities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
