Shabbat Lunch at the Embassy of Armenia to the United States

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan, the U.S. State Department’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism Yehuda Kaplun, and Rob Garson, President of the American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists, hosted a “Shabbat Lunch” at the Armenian Embassy dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event was attended by distinguished representatives who have contributed to American public, diplomatic, educational, business and political life, as well as community and spiritual leaders, including rabbis.

The Ambassador welcomed the guests and reflected on the values shaped by the Founding Fathers of the United States, which ensure peaceful coexistence, brotherhood, and partnership among different cultures and nations. He also spoke about the shared values that unite the Armenian and Jewish communities, emphasizing their significant contributions to the development of various sectors in the United States.

U.S. Special Envoy Yehuda Kaplun highlighted the importance of cooperation with the Armenian Embassy, expressing gratitude for Armenia’s commitment and active collaboration in promoting tolerance and combating extremism and hatred.

President of the American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists Rob Garson shared impressions from his visit to Armenia, his meetings with Armenia’s Jewish community, observations from the “Yerevan Dialogue” international conference, and his experience of cooperation with the Embassy.
