Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia with the U.S. Under Secretary of State

On October 1, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Riley Barnes.

The interlocutors discussed issues on the agenda of the Armenia-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The dynamically expanding cooperation across various areas outlined in the Partnership Charter was noted with satisfaction .

Views were exchanged on the ongoing efforts towards strengthening democracy and the rule of law, as well as promoting ties between the societies of the two countries based on shared civilizational values.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Riley Barnes discussed regional developments and projects aimed at advancing economic connectivity in the conditions of the established peace. Views were exchanged on possible steps towards further strengthening peace. Humanitarian issues were also touched upon.
