Armenian American Health Professionals Association’s 20th Anniversary Gala in New York

On November 22, the Armenian American Health Professionals Association (AAHPO) marked its 20th anniversary. H.E. Tigran Sargsyan, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, leaders of the Armenian American organization, heads of different community organizations, as well as numerous members of the Armenian community attended the event.

Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Eastern Diocese, presented “St. Nerses Shnorhali Medal” of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the AAHPO member Dr. Raffi Hovhannisian, awarded by the Condac (special decree) of the Catholicos of All Armenians.

Nabet Kassabian, Khoren Nalbandianand John Nercessian, founders of the Armenian American Health Professionals Association were honored during the event.

Ambassador Sargsyan presented Mkhitar Heratsi medal to the AAHPO member, doctor and benefactor Dr. Raffi Hovhannisian, awarded by the President of the Republic of Armenia, and mentioned that the medal is the acknowledgment of Dr. Hovhannisian’s commitment to the Armenian nation.
